 In a traditional village tucked away in a lush jungle of Malaysia, Kampung Boy follows the adventures of Mat, his family, and his friends as they struggle to maintain traditional family values in an ever changing world.

Kampung Boy (village boy) is based on the best selling comic strips and graphic novels by award winning cartoonist LAT. The cartoon series features unique designs, clever sight gags, and heart warming and socially relevant storylines. Exploring themes such as loyalty, family, and ecology, with a dash of good old fashioned childhood hi-jinx, Kampung Boy is the unique alternative to a cartoon world populated by superheroes, villians, and un-intelligent forms of life.

As a joint venture with the Philippine Animation Studios in Manila, and ASTRO Broadcasting/MEASAT in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Matinee Entertainment's Kampung Boy is an international co-production in the truest sense of the word.
