Matinee Entertainment is a Beverly Hills-based production company specializing in family-oriented animated and live-action entertainment for both television and feature films. Well-equipped to draw from a wide breadth of production resources, Matinee is involved in every facet of project development and production. Matinee seeks out established properties, such as children's books, and properties from non-traditional venues, such as interactive games and on-line concepts. Matinee is also committed to building franchises that have enduring appeal and implementing strong merchandising and licensing campaigns.

Matinee Entertainment was formed in 1995 by its affiliate, Worldwide Sports & Entertainment (WSE), which is credited with co-producing such popular animated series as "Biker Mice From Mars" and "Battletech". WSE is also the parent of Philippine Animation Studio, Inc. (PASI) -- a full-service production studio which produced animation for the series "X-men", "Fantastic Four", "The Mask"" for CBS and "Waynehead" for Warner Bros.
