Michael Yanover shapes the creative vision and direction of Matinee Entertainment.
He oversees the development, production, licensing and distribution operations of the company and
liaises with its sister corporations.

Lat Cartoonist / Creator of Kampung Boy

Lat has been entertaining a growing world-wide audience of Kampung Boy fans for over 20 years
with his special view of life the way it used to be, and a family we all can relate to.
Now he continues to expand Mat's horizons as an integral part of the team devoted to bringing Mat
to life and television. In addition to supervising all stories, Lat continues to create designs
and characters exclusively for the series. A celebrity in his own right, Lat continues to be active
as a political cartoonist for a Malaysian newspaper and is currently appearing as a host on a new television
talk show, "The Lat and Ida Hour".
Frank Saperstein Producer

As show runner and creative director of Kampung Boy, Frank supervises all aspects of this international
co-production. Frank established the U.S. production facility for the show. As a fifteen year
veteran of animated and live-action television, his other credits include Co-Producer of the
"Ren and Stimpy Show" (for which he was nominated for an Emmy, an Ace, and an Annie), as well as
Director of the "New Leave it to Beaver," and a writer of "Hill Street Blues."
Sheryl Scarborough Story Editor

As story editor and head writer of the Kampung Boy series, Sheryl rides herd on the writers of the
episodes while working in concert with Frank Saperstein, the producer; and Lat, the creator of the series to see
that their vision of the show is carried through consistently in each and every script. A childrens entertainment
specialist for 15 years, Sheryl has over 100 scripts to her credit, a Cable Ace Award, an Angel Award and a
nomination for both an Emmy and a Humanitas Award.
Michael Geisler Post Production Supervisor / Voice Director

Michael is responsible for checking the animation when it comes in from overseas studios.
He supervises the editing of the picture and sound effects, as well as the final mix of the show.
His other responsibility is directing the actors who provide the voices for Kampung Boy in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.
He has worked in post production for 12 years and has 2 Emmy Awards.
Don Goodman Director

Don works with storyboard artists who transform our written stories into pictures that represent the finished
animated film. He supervises the timing of the action that the animators in Manila, Philippines will follow to
bring our exotic and charming Malaysian characters to life. Finally, responsible for retakes, Don works with Michael G. and Frank to trouble-shoot the film footage received from our studio in Manila.
Brent Kirnbauer Production Manager

Works directly with the producer and the creative team to shepherd the diverse details of production, from fine-tuning storyboards to shipping preproduction elements to PASI, the animation studio in Manila. In short, Brent ensures that the collaboration of talent and the syntheses of components realize the producer's vision for the Kampung Boy series.
Rick Bonn Producer

Rick Bonn is part of the creative team responsible for developing the book series American Gold
into a live action kids TV Show.
Sandy Itkoff Executive Producer

Sandy is Executive Producer of the "Grossology" television series, based
on the best-selling children's book "Grossology - The Science of Really
Gross Things." Sandy's other projects include a documentary series for
PBS and Columbia TriStar of which she is the executive producer and the 20th
Century documentary series which is in development with the Walt Disney
Company.
Keith Wong Art Designer

Keith's duties include character, background, and mouth chart designer, as well as project development
and storyboard clean-up. He has worked as a freelance artist for various graphic art firms, and serves as
background, character, and props designer for Kampung Boy.
Byron Talman Color Stylist

Byron's duties include coloring all characters, props, background and storyboards. He has served as color
stylist for various comic books at Verotik and Image. Having done conceptual development for toys, he claims
to be half artist, half cyborg. Lucky for him, he was hired as color stylist for Kampung Boy, which he loves.

and marketing efforts for Matinee. She also functions as a liaison for

William Russell Chief Financial Officer

Bill Russell oversees all financial activities of Matinee Entertainment and its affiliate companies,
along with other ventures. His areas of oversight include all financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting,
and production and investment analysis. Russell also supervises the administration of personnel and MIS matters.
George Ioannou Senior Staff Accountant

George Ioannou oversees general accounting activities (such as accounts payable, receivable and general
ledger accounts) of Matinee and its affiliates. He is responsible for the preparation of financial statements
and works closely with Bill Russell in financial reporting.
Dave Krauser Office Production Assistant

Dave keeps the office functioning - from office machines, furniture, supplies and shipping, to food preparation,
cleaning and organizing, Dave has just one thing to say: "Boy, am I busy."
